Erik Predicts Winning Lottery Number

Lottery Winner

Lottery winner and her prize

ENN Reporters were on hand to witness Erik's newfound psychic ability.  "I can't believe this," he said, as he realized that he had successfully predicted the winning lottery number at a school-wide door prize contest.

ENN has learned that Erik was sitting next to a student (pictured above) during the Closing Ceremony for the Culture Festival.  At this Ceremony, all students and teachers hoped to win prizes by being the lucky holder of a winning "lucky number."  The "lucky numbers" were printed on the back of all 1,000 Culture Festival programs.

Erik, in a moment of "weakness," decided to torture the student sitting next to him by snatching her program.  He then proceeded to "compare her lucky number with his own," according to one eyewitness.  "Then, he kept her lucky number and gave her his in return."

Unfortunately for Erik, the student was less than impressed.  She "politely" asked Erik to return her program, although Erik's spokeswoman in Tokyo insists that the student "bluntly and rudely demanded" that Erik "give her fricking program back."

Reluctantly, Erik did trade the programs back to their original owners.  Moments later, the very first winning lucky number was called.  Out of 1,000 possible entries... yes.  It was the lucky student sitting next to Erik.  There were screams of incredulity all around Erik, and a scream of utter melancholy from Erik himself.

Witnesses report Erik storming out of the gymnasium, demanding a "recount."  He later realized that this psychic ability could work for him in the future, and he calmed down.

Stay with ENN as we monitor Erik's continuing attempts to win the Japanese lotto.  Tonight's winning numbers, Erik reportedly predicts, will be 10, 20, 30, and 45.  Good luck.
