Special Report: Santa Visits Japan
Santa addresses the crowd-- RITTO, Japan
One year after making a surprise visit to Japan, Santa Claus was again spotted by several small witnesses at an elementary school in Ritto, which coincidentally is Erik's home city. "It was really him!" said one elementary school student, identified only as "Cute." But another witness said, "No it wasn't! It was just some silly American."
ENN reporters rushed to the scene where hundreds of screaming children called for "Santa-san!" and a large white man on the stage in a ridiculous red costume chanted, "Ho, ho ho! Merry Christmas" several times. The man was also seen passing out gifts to several children who quickly ran away from the scary man.
Santa spoke only in English, because that's what he speaks. When asked questions in Japanese, Santa simply smiled and said, once again, "Ho, ho ho!!" The students answered a quiz about Santa-san, including such questions as "Where does Santa come from?" and "What kind of animals does Santa have with his sleigh?" Most students answered the questions correctly.
"I really can't say," ENN reporters said when asked whether this really was the real Santa. "He looked a whole lot like Erik, but then again, Erik looks a whole lot like Santa."
Stay with ENN as we continue our investigation. And, Happy Holidays from all of us at ENN.
